Hi! I’m Lisa, the editorial mind at Capital Editing Services. I majored in English at Baylor University and received my Juris Doctorate from Baylor Law School.

I’m an attorney by education and a self-described word nerd by personal inclination. My mother would tell you I’ve been spotting errors in the written word since I was old enough to read. I’ve worked on over 100 fiction and nonfiction books since starting my freelance career in 2019, and I’ve worked with Baylor University Press, XO Marriage, Book Launchers, and others, as well as several individual authors.

I know a lot of editors are also writers. I’ll be the first to tell you, that’s not me! I’m not looking to put my words in place of yours. My purpose, my passion, is to preserve your unique voice and clean up the little things that often get overlooked. Authors, you work hard to bring your ideas to life.
